IMPORTANT: 3D printing has ups and downs. Sometimes, things print great.....sometimes, not so much. These items are all sooo close to right, but just a little off. Most have some slight (less than 1mm) layer shifting (the layers get misaligned partway through the print), some might have a little blob of burnt plastic stuck in them, and some might have some slight discoloration on the bottom (the part you don't even see when in use). All of them are 100% usable (and they will be used in my display if they don't sell đ) and will still support our range of Toppers with no issues. The chances of anyone noticing the misprints, especially at night, are next to none (unless you have really nosey neighbors), but I just can't sell them as perfect.
Our version of the 5 Pixel Stick is about 8" tall. Printed in white PETG so it has a diffused look, and capable of supporting any of our Pixel Stick toppers (not included).
Use the Cube model in xLights with the settings shown in the picture. Just adjust the Width attribute for the number of pixels sticks you're using.
Mounting:
The preferred mounting method are these garden stakes but you can also use individual tent spikes.
Shipping:
Shipping to the lower 48 states is Free! If you are elsewhere, we'll send an invoice for any additional shipping charge. Please feel free to contact us before ordering to confirm any additional charges.
A Note About Our Printed Products:
Products are (mostly) printed upon ordering. We're not running a full blown 3D Printing shop so products may take 1 to 2 weeks (or longer) before shipping. If you need something in your hands sooner than 2-4 weeks, please contact us first to check on availability and timeframes. When we get closer to season, these products will very likely be unavailable so please order with plenty of lead time. Thanks!
3D printing can be a fickle beast. Sometimes parts come out beautiful with no effort and sometimes a minor blob of plastic is dropped where it shouldn't be or an edge doesn't completely adhere to the print bed, causing some minor fuzz on the corner. While we make every effort to print perfectly every time, it's just the nature of 3D printing, especially in multiple colors, for there to be a hiccup here or there. Nothing will ever be shipped that we wouldn't put in our own display, but 3D printed items may sometimes have minor imperfections that do not affect the overall look or function of the item.
Credit Where Credit Is Due:
Our pixel stick was originally designed by Chuck Ackerman and is available here, where you can download the full suite of files. Our pixel stick is a slightly modified design, to shorten it, and also a modification to the pixel holes so the pixels 'snap in' better. Note that the holes on the topper's mounting tab will likely not line up properly with the holes on Chuck's original designs so you may have to drill the mounting tab out to allow the pixel to go through it, if you use Chuck's original design.
