Star Add-Ons for "Stars and Stripes" from Charlees Props - 55 Pack

These are star shapes to be used with the 'Stars and Stripes' prop created by Charlees Props.

There are 2 shapes available:

• Stars - Full Pixel Cap: This is a full cap that fits over the 5 pixels. It provides a nice soft effect for the star pixels and also backlights the coro around the stars a bit, giving it a soft blue color (if you painted it blue). The full cap is shown on the right side of the picture above.
• Stars - Visible Pixels: This is a star shape with cutouts for the 5 pixels so the pixels still show through. If you want the sharp effects provided by each individual pixel in the star shapes, this is the model for you. The visible pixel star is shown on the left side of the picture above.

Also included are 2 alignment guides to make centering the star easier. One is used when you've already pushed your pixels and gives you a center hole to stick a small screwdriver/awl through. The other is used if you haven't yet pushed your pixels and has a point to create the hole for you.

The stars have a center prong that fits into the hole created with the guide/punch. I found that it was helpful to use a small awl to slightly widen the center hole just before seating the star, then push the center of the star to engage the prong into the center hole. The coro will bounce back slightly, which should hold the star relatively tightly. You could also put a drop of super glue in the hole just before seating the star, but I didn't go that far (yet 🤞).
